Oral Implant

How do dental implants work?

Oral implant – The cylindrical implant post is surgically embed into the jaw bone to act as a new tooth root. The implant post is then normally left to heal for a few months in order for the implant post to fuse with you’re biological jaw bone.

After the implant post has successfully integrated with the bone, an implant abutment is placed onto the implant post and a tooth impression is taken. The tooth impression is sent to the lab to make a custom crown that fits over the implant abutment and matches with adjacent natural teeth.
